Caring Senior Service Names Abernathey Chief Operating Officer

San Antonio-based Caring Senior Service is pleased to announce the appointment of Pat Abernathey to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Abernathey has served as Director of Marketing for Caring Senior Service since 2005.

"Pat joined us when we had 18 offices, now we have 32," said Jeff Salter, CEO and founder of Caring Senior Service. "Over the past 18 months Pat has been instrumental in creating a dynamic and effective sales team for our company and he has had excellent results."

During his tenure as Director of Marketing, Abernathey helped Caring Senior Service transition from exclusively selling franchises to opening corporate-owned and managed locations. As COO, Abernathey will direct marketing and operations - working to grow while ensuring that Caring Senior Service standards are being met. During 2007, Caring Senior Service added 10 offices. Two new offices opened in Alabama on Jan. 1, 2008, bringing the company total to 32 nationwide.

Caring Senior Service provides personal assistance services (PAS) to the elderly and infirm in their homes or places of residence. Services include help with bathing, dressing, transfers, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errand running and medication reminders.
